I think about what’s going on inside Earth.
Not just what’s below my feet, like worms, grubs, burrowing creatures hibernating, etc., but deep inside.
The churning and movement of its molten core.
It’s all rather amazing, having to do with Earth’s magnetic field, which protects us from solar winds and cosmic rays (now where’d I leave my hat, I’ve upgraded from plain aluminum foil to one I got on Amazon, it’s ‘sposed to be like a faraday cage for your head...), which, in turn, would strip away our ozone layer leaving us at the mercy of harmful ultraviolet radiation.
I think.
(Protecting us from the winds and rays, that is, not my hat.)
Everything working in (almost) perfect harmony to make Earth habitable (without my hat.)
Then, sometimes I wonder if the tectonic plates are moving as well, if ever so
slightly, (which I wondered before here, does that make me Wondering Woman? More like Wandering Woman because that is what my brain does most of the time) and eventually the arrangement of land will change, far far in the future? Like it has in the past.
This, when I’m not wondering and thinking about what’s going on on Twitter.
We’re darn lucky the Earth does not rely on humans to do all that is required to keep it safe.
For us.
We seem to be a bunch of unappreciative bunglers.
I know I sure have a habit of bungling. Foot in mouth disease.
Hmm, *lightbulb* perhaps there are a lot of actual invisible entities that does it? Maintenance workers that we can’t see?
I’m sure they must be way smarter and more capably responsible than humans.
Either that, or programmed drones that rarely fail in their duties.(duties...no comment :)
Maybe that’s when we have quakes or eruptions?
That thought expanded would make a good story.
I think.
Don't you?
I guess that’s all I have to say about this. For now, at least.
