I'm beginning to believe, as of late, EVERYONE has some sort of mental health problems of some sort to some degree, so I am not alone. Probably most don't even realize it.
Of course, the difference is, I am real, at least I believe myself to be, and they are characters....with either superpowers or really nifty gear. Them, that is, not me. I, unfortunately, just have issues without, and just struggle along :/ They forgot Dr. Manhattan, oh, and quite a few others. Hey, come to think of it, so do most heroes, as well as the obvious, villains.

I thought the storm would never end. ^There can be only one!^ ^Apparently I am not that One! GAME OVER This went on for what seemed like forever.....GAME OVER.....GAME OVER....GAME OVER....etc. Animal Crossing: New Horizons had weakened me. ^Tree was struck, maybe it will miss me this time and I can make it to the shrine you see behind me!?! Will I make it.....fly, you fool!!! GAME OVER! ARGHHHH!!!!! I was about to reload a previous save and pray it would not storm, when the onscreen tip finally struck me...yes, like lightning. Quite literally, in this gaming sense. Anyway, 'pay attention to weather'....hmm, lightning is attracted by metal. I was carrying a halberd and soldier's metal shield.... I was a freakin' walking lightning rod! Switched to bone and wood weapons and shield, then.... made a dash for it! Phew! Sanctuary at last! A few lightning strikes, now, all the wiser. Unrelated-ish afterthought. A friend sent me the following. I am Virgo and it is quite accurate.
In game panic attack. Yep, that's me. Haven't played it, but am intrigued....except for the mountain climbing part, but I assume it is a metaphor for the insecurities she has to overcome. So, me. *sigh* You know how they say radio-wavelength transmissions, like radio and tv broadcasts, go out into Space?
I was giving this some thought and this, perhaps, is the only reason we have been protected from an alien invasion. In the majority of films, Earth always kicks alien arse when they attempt to invade. Without any probing of said, I might add! Any hostile aliens must believe we are a formidable foe. AI, on the other hand, well, that's a different scenario altogether. Most times we do find some way to override, but not always. Far less than with aliens. Not sure if it was alien AI. May give that further thought, but probably won't. Welp, that's all I have to say about that . For now. Ok, so I am dealing with all the climbing (ugh, just barely), monsters, well.... I disregard this tip. I also disregard, 'It's dangerous to approach enemies head-on when you're low on hearts or don't have protective armor equipped. Always be prepared!', 'Monsters thrive at nighttime, as do other things that can make adventuring dangerous. If you're low on hearts at night, find a campfire and lay low until morning.' and 'Pay attention to the weather, it’s actually important'....Lightning. No one told me about lightning..... ^Oooo, pretty!^ I took refuge, for Gawds sake! Of course it was ruins without a roof. Yep, I was struck. *Zzzzt!* Struck by lightning. Oof! Well, at least I have horsies Yay! ^_^ The Paint was the first I rode and tamed, then I tamed the Appaloosa, which you see me mounted on. Failed to register them. Was thrown from a beautiful Dapple Grey. Figures. Finally broke a dark Roan that I did register and named 'Carob'. I know, not very creative a name. Hey, I felt pressured :/ I am waiting to capture Shadowfax ;) Actually, I find it easier to go on foot instead of mounting and dismounting to forage and all. Anyway, back to monsters. Is it a fool who runs into battle straight on, or a confident warrior? Well, I get this a LOT.... Back to the grind.
Need more heart containers. It's just climbing all those towers and mountains REALLY TRULY bothers me. *quease* There are still 'witch burnings'. With instigators rallying up angry mobs, but in a more subtle 'civilised' manner. They verbally set fire to innocents, because, well, someone has to be to blame. The instigators dare not look inside themselves and see they, in fact, may be the actual cause, nor does the mob ever question. Just torture and burn the witch, make excuses for one's self to justify the action and assuage away any feelings of guilt or remorse, that they may continue their lives and bury the ashes so as not to be haunted by their deeds. Who, then are the ones with sullied souls? Those who feel no guilt or remorse? They are the truly twisted psychopaths. It is said 'what goes around comes around', perhaps not in this cycle of earth, but in its next loop. (Saw Rob Zombie in concert. His giant robot was awesome. Monster Magnet opened for Rob, they weren't so hot. Ah, those were the days. Ugh, pandemic go away!)
little, I had an all grey kitten that I name Mouse.
My older sister had Mouse's brother, a grey tabby. She named him Mickey. They were of the indoor/outdoor variety. When it was their suppertime, Grams would shout out the backdoor, 'Mickey Mouse'. Dunno what the neighbors, the ones we did not speak to other than a hello, thought. Just felt like sharing. Absolutely amazing instrument! A Flawless Instrumental Cover of The Police Song ‘Walking on the Moon’ Played on Harpejji and Drums And this gorgeous harp! Cloudy The sky is Grey and white and cloudy Sometimes I think it's hanging down on me And it's a hitchhike a hundred miles I'm a rag-a-muffin child Pointed finger-painted smile I left my shadow waiting down the road for me a while Cloudy My thoughts are scattered and they're cloudy They have no borders, no boundaries They echo and they swell From Tolstoy to Tinker Bell Down from Berkeley to Carmel Got some pictures in my pocket and a lot of time to kill Hey sunshine I haven't seen you in a long time Why don't you show your face and bend my mind? These clouds stick to the sky Like a floating question, why? And they linger there to die They don't know where they are going And, my friend, neither do I Cloudy Cloudy Cloudy Cloudy Cloudy Have always felt an affinity towards clouds... Rows and flows of angel hair And ice cream castles in the air And feather canyons every where Looked at clouds that way But now they only block the sun They rain and snow on everyone So many things I would have done But clouds got in my way I've looked at clouds from both sides now From up and down and still somehow It's cloud's illusions I recall I really don't know clouds at all Moons and Junes and ferris wheels The dizzy dancing way that you feel As every fairy tale comes real I've looked at love that way But now it's just another show And you leave 'em laughing when you go And if you care, don't let them know Don't give yourself away I've looked at love from both sides now From give and take and still somehow It's love's illusions that I recall I really don't know love Really don't know love at all Tears and fears and feeling proud To say, "I love you" right out loud Dreams and schemes and circus crowds I've looked at life that way Oh, but now old friends they're acting strange And they shake their heads, they say I've changed Well something's lost, but something's gained In living every day I've looked at life from both sides now From win and lose and still somehow It's life's illusions I recall I really don't know life at all It's life's illusions that I recall I really don't know life I really don't know life at I've sung both. Quite often. While my guitar gently weeps....
Finally.
I finally progressed. It was ridiculous. To get the warm doublet you had to create a food/dish (as mentioned previously). In desperation, after hunting boar for over a week, I looked it up. Raw bird legs was an acceptable ingredient, of which I had aplenty, so I wasted all that time hunting boar for naught. Ugh. I HAD created a ‘surf and turf’ but used 5 ingredients whereas only 3 were required. Of course, this may have been mentioned in the journal at Santa's house and I overlooked it :/ I repeat, UGH! So, got the warm doublet, finished last shrine, visited the goddess, received the paraglider (which I love, btw. Makes descents a lot less stressful), and left the plateau. Phew! K, so 'Santa' claims to be Zelda’s father, and one time king of Hyrule. He still looks like Santa. Possibly a relation. Anyway. Once again, this game is not meant for anyone with fear of heights, commonly known as *Heightsaphobia :) I’ve played other games and was never as fearful as I am with this one. It's not the actual fear of height itself, it's the fear of falling to my death from great heights. Heck, I've climbed plenty of trees in my time, but this would be more like skydiving. As aforementioned, I am a tad better now with the paraglider. Oh, and I've increased my stamina which helps with ascents. Recently I have encountered some Sleestak. They have better weapons than the Bokoblin, though I believe all the weapons must come from Tom Nook’s (AC:NH) shops. They break so easily. And something new I learnt, DO NOT STAND TOO NEAR AND/OR ON FIRE. Screaming ‘stop, drop and roll’ does not help. Game Over. Well, that’s all for now. Will continue to update. Probably. (*Fear of heights is actually called Acrophobia :) |
