Finally.
I finally progressed.
It was ridiculous. To get the warm doublet you had to create a food/dish (as mentioned previously).
In desperation, after hunting boar for over a week, I looked it up.
Raw bird legs was an acceptable ingredient, of which I had aplenty, so I wasted all that time hunting boar for naught. Ugh.
I HAD created a ‘surf and turf’ but used 5 ingredients whereas only 3 were required.
Of course, this may have been mentioned in the journal at Santa's house and I overlooked it :/
I repeat, UGH!
So, got the warm doublet, finished last shrine, visited the goddess, received the paraglider (which I love, btw. Makes descents a lot less stressful), and left the plateau.
Phew!
K, so 'Santa' claims to be Zelda’s father, and one time king of Hyrule.
He still looks like Santa. Possibly a relation.
Anyway.
Once again, this game is not meant for anyone with fear of heights, commonly known as *Heightsaphobia :) I’ve played other games and was never as fearful as I am with this one. It's not the actual fear of height itself, it's the fear of falling to my death from great heights.
Heck, I've climbed plenty of trees in my time, but this would be more like skydiving. As aforementioned, I am a tad better now with the paraglider.
Oh, and I've increased my stamina which helps with ascents.
Recently I have encountered some Sleestak.
They have better weapons than the Bokoblin, though I believe all the weapons must come from Tom Nook’s (AC:NH) shops. They break so easily.
And something new I learnt, DO NOT STAND TOO NEAR AND/OR ON FIRE.
Screaming ‘stop, drop and roll’ does not help. Game Over.
Well, that’s all for now. Will continue to update. Probably.
(*Fear of heights is actually called Acrophobia :)
