Yes, I love trees.
They not only help produce oxygen and shade, some provide food, their ‘bones’ frame our houses and are also used as fuel. They absorb noise.
They’ve provided shelter and safety in our pre-homo erectus state,
before we became upright.
We’ve, sat on and in them, form them into utilitarian objects,
written on them. We decorate them at Christmas and they probably provide a
host of other benefits I can’t think of at the moment.
And this is not to mention what they lend to other species.
We need them. They are an integral part of our existence.
They should have our respect.
As should all living things.
Everything has it’s place, everything is connected, one to another.
Some of us have just lost sight of it.
They can't see the forest for the trees! Pfft, some literally don't even take notice of a forest at all, let alone notice a single tree!
(Dunno if that made any sense. It did in my head.)
Anyway, I've read where, in the UK, the expression is 'You can't see the wood for the trees.'
K, this is about tiny trees. One’s human hands have bent and dwarfed.
Out of love.
This is also about longevity, even in the face of disaster.
This is me yammering on instead of getting to the point :)

This tree is located at the National Arboretum in Washington, D.C.
I didn’t even know the US had a National Arboretum.

I’ve been to Longwood Gardens, and other Gardens in NJ and Pa.
Both cultivated ones, and wild ones.
The earth itself is a garden. Maybe it is Eden.
And for all those who scoff at NJ, it is the Garden State, so
think on that!
And for those living in and around the Delaware Valley and may
be interested in Bonsai, there is this-

Yes, I'm done now. So go out there and hug a tree....or at least, appreciate one, even when it covers your car in pollen and you are most likely inhaling tree sperm :)
