Sick of mowing? Here's what one woman did.
Guess she was trying to make a statement. Maybe if she used gravel or paved over it there’d be less complaints? Perhaps ivy, no, mint (or any ground cover) would have been a better alternative? You still might have to pull some weeds here and there occasionally.
I’m assuming she did the sand because it was the least expensive (though $4000 is rather steep) and it could be removed?
I’d say, if it had the salty scent of the ocean, it might be nice, but it is more likely all the cats in the neighborhood are probably quite pleased, and, well *pinching nose shut*.
The nearby town of Haddonfield, has/had an ordinance where Victorian homes on the main streets must be painted in ‘traditional’ colours (or so I’ve been told). One owner refused to be dictated to and painted theirs a pale lavender with darker trim. It wasn’t unpleasing to the eye, though. I was told, a lot of ‘disagreements’ between the township and the home owner went on.
It begs to question who really owns your home, you, the township, the neighbors?
Guess all of the above.
Can't we all just get along? Ever?
