Does the devil stalk NH? Hmm, I wonder...come to think of it...
Remember astronut Filbert and his tardigrade Rover? They are still in Space, but not Outer, I received a rather garbled transmission, they are exploring Inner Space, but that was all I could understand before losing contact. My question, the Inner Space of what or where???? I guess me must wait for further transmissions to find out! (I'd like to know why they have my copper ring from a bull's nose that I wear as a bracelet. No, bullsh*t, it really is, and I really do.)
It's because they sold their souls to the devil. Like musicians did at the time. That is why so many of the oldies have lived so long considering the drugs and alcohol. It's preserved them. Like formaldehyde. Seriously, though- I do wonder, however, about the Plumbum Dirigible And highly suspicious of Elvis to the Power of 6 Yes, this has been a plug for my HELLdin, um, erm, saga which was written way back in 2012.
Remember 2012? When we could actually hug without doing air ones from 6 feet away wearing masks? I miss hugs :( In these trying times (that brings out the best and worst in humans).... 'I know. It's all wrong. By rights we shouldn't even be here. But we are. It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger, they were. And sometimes you didn't want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it's only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer...' -Samwise Gamgee, 'Lord of the Rings' Too me, Samwise was the true hero.
He was not 'family', it was friendship in its its truest form. He went with Frodo for no other reason, knowing of the risk. Without thought of self, but for the greater good. His was that of a good heart, kind, and fiercely loyal and devoted. Even when unnoticed and unappreciated. He didn't have to go with frodo and could have turned back at any time. Frodo would not have made it without Sam. He, is a character to emulate. I try and do my best. That is all one can do. I can relate to both. I always try and understand another's reasons for their actions and behaviour. I do so because it is what I wish others would do for me. That is why I love the poem 'The Fool's Prayer' when it states: '...These clumsy feet, still in the mire,
Go crushing blossoms without end; These hard, well-meaning hands we thrust Among the heart-strings of a friend. The ill-timed truth we might have kept- Who knows how sharp it pierced and stung? The word we had not sense to say- Who knows how grandly it had rung?...' How to See Five Planets in the Night Sky This Weekend
Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn will be visible during the early morning hours on July 19 Thoughts concerning the most recent American President's orders. *sigh* Isn't it always the way, the innocent suffer. And not just civilians. We never think of the devastation war/conflict inflicts on everything.
At one time, rulers went to battle along with their troops, they didn't hide safely in bunkers and just give orders. This is why I have no hope for humankind, we allow ourselves to be governed by the wealthy, greedy, self centered privileged that have no idea what it is like for those who are actually the ones who keep the economy going, the common people, struggling to eke out a living. We are the gears that keep it all working. We are the ones who work their factories, buy their products with the money we just earned producing it. They pacify us like children. At least here in the US. Most of us are not self sufficient and could not survive if we had to produce everything ourselves. We have become too domesticated and reliant. Maybe that is the meaning of the adage 'money is the root of all evil.' People used to barter and trade. I assume money was invented by someone too lazy to do for themselves or something and bamboozled others into believing something relatively useless had value. From a pretty rock traded for a piece of pottery, to a gold coin for an article of clothing and then elevating that coin to be more valuable than anything else. Then turn that coin into paper because it is more convenient and make lots of it that is no longer backed by anything at all. The tree from which it was made is more valuable. We, the bamboozled. *sigh* Maybe we are failed projects in storage? Our universe. Matter will be repurposed when required.
Failed universe in storage. Like a junkyard or dump, cordoned off from the rest of whatever lies beyond. |
