What generally inherits/rules the earth are those who are shrewd and will do absolutely anything to survive.
Kinda like how it works in the civilized world. I’m assuming, throughout history, those who are ruthless and calculating are successful at ‘climbing the corporate ladder’ if you may (corporate as in business, religion, governments etc.) I doubt if most got there by being meek.
So what does that suggest? About who will survive an apocalypse?
Probably not me.
When there are no longer rules/laws, meaning no actual penalty for one’s actions save one’s personal ethics, I should think a lot of a person’s baser nature would emerge. Survival of the fittest and all that.
Love, or any deep attachment, can become detrimental because one’s protective instinct may endanger not only their own safety, but others’ survival as well.
Therefore, it is better not to love anyone under those circumstances, and I’m beginning to believe under any.
So, this is what I’ve learned so far from playing survival games.
Has it been beneficial? I dunno, but it is enlightening. Sort of.
