THIS JUST IN! It appears the sentinels are reproducing. Not sure what to make of it. Very little is known of them. Apparently they are either asexual, or one is female and the one at the other side of the island is male and they mate unseen at night, or something altogether unknown. They were on the island when I arrived. It is not even known if they are indigenous, were transported here (from one of the portals?) or engineered, nor, if so, by whom? It isn't even known if they are organic. I shall reveal more as the study continues, which will take time since there is so much on R'lyeh to investigate and new mysteries continue to appear. IN OTHER NEWS.... A mother and baby panda appeared in the memorial site just off Drago's garden. You will see, in the hidden camera shot with obstacles removed, the young panda is still in infant camouflage colour. What? You didn't know the young were green and white to hide amongst the bamboo? These are the sort of things that happen overnight on R'lyeh. 'Lost' had it's polar bear, R'lyeh has it's pandas. (Lost was an American television series that aired on ABC from September 2004, to May 2010, with a total of 121 episodes. From Wikipedia-
'Polar bears were brought to the Island by the DHARMA Initiative, who kept them in cages at the Hydra station, on Hydra Island. (The World of the Others) According to Pierre Chang, because polar bears possess keen memory and adaptability instincts, they were prime candidates for studies in electromagnetic research.') I am R'lyeh's officially licensed representative. and therefore responsible for all that goes on here. It was brought to my attention that Godzilla has been doing his doodie and not cleaning up after himself. I confronted him with the problem and of course the excuses flowed like, um, water. I present you with the footage captured by one of the hundreds of hidden surveillance cameras on the island.... In the early hours of July 18th, that is, this morning, I discovered the pile in question and confronted Godzilla with it. This is the conversation that ensued- Me: What is this? (Although I knew quite well what it was by the horrendous odor.) Godzilla: Rawwwr? (in a more or less simpering tone) Me: Corprolite your arse, Godz, you may be prehistoric but that's positively NOT fossilized!!! @$%#*&! He knew I was more than just a tad perturbed. Godzilla: Rawreerawrawr! *whining* Me: Don't hand me that 'the aliens made me doodie it' crap! Definitely, don't hand me that shite! He used a few other far-fetched excuses until finally admitting it was him, that it was an accident and would not happen again. Satisfied, I told him to clean it up and all would be forgotten... UNTIL later that morning after sunrise I saw this on the monitor!- You really need a magnifying glass, Kidd? I know you believe yourself to be the incarnation of Sherlock Holmes, but isn't the stench enough to tell you what it is? I arrived at the scene just as Kidd 'Holmes' was berating Godzilla. Thankfully I was able to settle the confrontation, cleaned the mess up myself and Godzilla went off to sulk for a few days. Such is the life of THE official representative on R'lyeh
*sigh* I do not know (though suspect) they either all suffer from narcolepsy or they are androibots that recharge in the guise of naps. Mmhm. It would explain why there are the selfsame beings on other islands going by the same identities. Coincidence? I don't think so. Clones and/or androibots in my opinion. See photos below. What is odd is even if they have a bed, they sleep on their feet as well as random places on the island. Hmmm, curious. Those are just three examples. Always with the tiny 'bubbles' emanating from their faces.
I have observed it in every single islander, albeit, at different times of the day so it is an individualized event. Possibly depending on how much energy has been used, before needing to recharge? They also keep very odd hours, as well. I shall get to the bottom of this. I'm sure it is tied to Tom Nook, the REAL Tom Nook wherever he may be. Or, it's aliens. When in doubt and inexplicable it is always aliens. Perhaps 'Tom Nook' IS an, if not THE, alien! ^Visiting Kidd. He is a relative of one Phillip Black. Kidd is a bit of an outcast, being the lavender shee, erm, goat in the family. ^Hangin with Erik. What can I say about Erik other than he loves snacks? ^Whoops! (How'd that cosplay of an infamous comic artist sneak in!) ^Kiki is such a sweetie, likes to read. I hear tell she was once an assistant to a famous Austrian physicist.... ^That's Marina. She likes to hug. Leaves me with multiple suction marks. Yes, she's an octopus.*coughaliencough* And ^this^ is Lucky. Rumour has it he was once named Snoopy until he was involved in a hideous accident, though he never mentions it, nor how it occured, but occasionally mumbles the name Schroeder. (Or was that Schrödinger? Nah, that may have been the one Kiki has mentioned working for.) I believe he's one of the walking dead now. He smells a bit odd, but a pleasant enough fellow. He likes to play the pipe organ in the ruins of the haunted forest. Legend has it ages and ages ago, or possibly yesterday as it is hard to tell on R'lyeh, an opera house once stood on the property and was burnt to the ground. All was destroyed, save the organ. No one knows why or how it survived. No one knows why or how Lucky survived for that matter, either, or what is beneath the bandaging. He is never without them. Eerie music can be heard in the wee, wee (snicker) hours of the morning, just before dawn. *Note to self, look into the history of the site, and the records of all associated with it....and Lucky, if that is indeed his real name.... There are but a few of the islanders I will get to the others in time.
Some are just difficult, shall we say, to photograph.... A while ago. Me as Colin Robinson, psychic vampire.... Then as Dracula à la Bram Stoker's... In the above visiting the Darkness and Light graves in the hedge maze. Have not uncovered [no, not by digging them up....well, yet] who lies beneath the stones. Also in the maze, a blue stone tablet that glows at night. Have not deciphered the writings upon it, something about someone named Klaatu Barada, or who placed it there and why? Is there a connection to the graves across from it? I wonder.... And this pole appeared in the haunted forest. I surely hope it is not a link to Christmasland by N0S4A2! He is not of the same ilk as I, vampire-wise, because, yeah, I'm not really a vampire. AND....... THEY'RE BAAACK!
The Invaders are here.... deformed fourth finger Discovered a UFO, brought it to my lab. The aliens were ancient, of course. Will update further after communication. They may be hesitant to make contact, or are having trouble with their transporter because they keep beaming down then up in a continuous cycle. I believe they were interested in the portals on R'lyeh, I do not, however, believe they are connected to them. I will find out as soon as communication is possible. You may be wondering why it appears I discovered the UFO two days AFTER
having taken it to my lab. I would like to know why as well. Time and Space are apparently irrelevant on R'lyeh. Nothing is coherent or cohesive, as you will see in further entries. Yeah, it confuses me as well. My House The sentinels at each end of island. They look small when at rest, but let someone try and leave..... Strange portals are appearing all over the island. What is their purpose? Where do they lead? Who created them and left the stones? What is the significance of it all? Will we ever find out, Sparrow? On a more 'normal' note, this is R'lyeh Museum and Dinosaur Walk. And here we have The Dino Cafe. I am the astronaught, the other is a friend visiting from their distant isle. She's a real peach.
So, R'lyeh is a strange island, where mysteries abound. For instance, who is this 'Sparrow' person, anyway? Behind the walls of a very lovely Tudor style home (photos eventually of the exterior) are secrets galore. For instance, there's a surveillance room hidden behind a bookcase in a beautifully decorated parlour, the laboratory in the basement is home to who knows what sort of nefarious experiments, and a kitchen, the likes you would find in Mordor. The bedroom/bath balances out all with normality (boring photo for another day). Everything is constantly changing, as aforementioned, even the land itself. A land of chaotic orderliness, one might say, as is this thread and photos. See for yourself. You see the bookcase to your right? it hides a secret door to a surveillance room that monitors the entire island. The seemingly harmless white 'ball' in the corner there, is a sentinel. There is one stationed at each end of R'lyeh, that keep the residents from leaving. They swell to an enormous size enveloping the escapee and returning them. This is the lab. It is said 'Sparrow' received a secret formula involving snails from a Professor she once knew. She continues his experiments on her own, even expanding them using Sea Snails and Whelks, as well as the land variety of snail, but for what purpose? *See following photos...no, not about the purpose of said experiments, no one but the Sparrow knows that! And here we have the Mordor Kitchen, still being worked on because of the gaseous fumes from the volcanic activity that broils, bakes and makes Julienne Fries.... Better get out of there quickly, Sparrow, you aren't wearing the proper equipment!
Stay tuned for more of R'lyeh and it's ever changing, rearranging matter! (yes, the sigh was for the bad pun, though I do feel a bit punk today, but that's another clothing choice for another day. *sigh ditto* hey, at least I didn't say it was my duty to post this....*sigh sigh and sigh again*)
