I dreamt that I had awoken in a bed in the middle of some strange futuristic library. I sat up, rubbing my eyes in disbelief.
The walls were lined with uniform shelves, all the ‘books’ were a homogeneously grey colour (as was the entire room), and all were of the same height and width, identical save for each having a different set of odd symbols and numbers, along with a small round indented disk at the bottom of their spines.
The ‘librarian’ was a robot. People would go up to the desk at which it stood and it would press a small disk into their foreheads, then place a thimble-like thing on their index finger.
They would then go to some electronic index, find where whatever they were interested in was located, go there, press and held their ‘thimbled’ finger on the disk at the bottom of the book, the disk on their forehead and the one on the book would then light up, and the ‘book’ was apparently downloaded into their head.
I was just an observer and was apparently invisible, that none could see me.
Yeah, it was weird.
