Do astronomers/astrophysicists/astromathematicians<(I assume there are ones that do probability theory predictions [like 'Ye Old Alien Farmer's Almanac' or something], have information they are not telling us?
I'm giving you a heads-up in case you want to celebrate, and no, I am not making this up, nor will I joke about the word 'asteroid' (like 'what do astronauts or aliens get from straining to do poo', or anything of that nature, this is serious business and anyways, I've done that already elsewhere here), so seriously, I guess the threat of a large incoming is about due, because if not, why were we not concerned 10 years ago about this? Do astronomers/astrophysicists/astromathematicians<(I assume there are ones that do probability theory predictions [like 'Ye Old Alien Farmer's Almanac' or something], have information they are not telling us? Don't let ^this^ happen to us! Grab your telescopes and keep a watchful eye on the sky! Is there something we can do about it? I dunno, blast it off course maybe? If not, we can at least assume the fetal position and kiss our asteroids goodbye! Take it from him!- Also, the day will be one second longer! Wow! A whole extra second! Wonder what I'll do with it? It's Leap Second! Poor old Earth, it's slowing down, I guess it's expected after being 4.54 billion years old and constantly in that tug of war with the Sun and Moon. Read, the article, it's very interesting wibbily wobbly timey wimey stuff.... So they've got it all worked out....as long as we see it coming.....as long as we can agree as to how we will deflect/destroy it in time before it gets too close....as long as it works.....yep, that eases my mind.....*sigh*
