Unless, of course (as I've mentioned elsewhere on this site), memories in general can be transferred through genetics (see RNA in the article maybe?) That could be a plausible explanation for past lives (regression) and déjà vu, and maybe not. There is just so much that we do not know. We are yet infants in the cosmos.
But I digress, the article (as is all science) fascinating, such diversity, reliance, connections in everything.
Even though the original study was considered more sensationalism than fact, the recent study by the worm trainers<(how to train a worm :) at Tufts University proves McConnell's decapitation theory was correct. I'd like to get the book based on his journal 'The Worm Re-Turns: The Best from the Worm Runner's Digest' (James V.McConnell).
Anyway, most Platyhelminthes are of the 'reliance' part, as in parasitic, but in a way, that is what we all are, think about it....
