Firstly, I know nothing about aerodynamics (if you haven't noticed already, I know very little about a majority of things, but that doesn't stop me from thinking and talking about them.)
So, here goes, I wonder, if you strapped a bunch of the airbrella's (or battery powered leaf blowers [without the tube part], or a souped up hair dryer) together and attached them to the bottom of a wheelless skate board????
(Or strap them to the underside of a vacuum and you'd have a hooverboard! :D)
Wasn't there a car that hovered on a cushion of air? (I thought they had one on 'Pawn Stars', yeah, I don't apologize, I've paused and watched it a couple times when searching, and while we're at it, I've also watched some episodes of Animal Planet's 'Finding Bigfoot' :P ). And aren't there really jet packs?
So, then, what's the problem? Why has it taken so long to make one of these, and is this one for real? Since that video with Christopher Lloyd that turned out to be fake, I wonder. Prank? Jill Henderson (in the video) looks sort of like Sarah Palin....
Yeah, I have trust issues.
Hmm, could magnets be used? You know, how one side attracts and the other repels (something to do with poles)? A board with magnets attached could sort of hover over an opposite, couldn't it? Of course, if it could, it would have limited use? Or could the earth's magnet field be used?
Anyway, I wonder if that is what their 'engine' is in the video? Magnets. (No, I did not read about it, only watched the video.)
Oh, well. Just thoughts.
And, btw, I do not endorse either of these Kickstarters, I was just interested in the science and practicality of them.
