She sleeps all day, not in the little ‘igloo’ sleeping quarters provided, but underneath the horizontal wheel’s base. Literally beneath it, like some dark crypt.
When evening falls, out she comes and spends all night, wreaking havoc in her habitat. In the morning her exercise wheel is turned over, objects have been moved from one area to another and the bedding piled up in various corners. So I, as a good friend, upright the wheel and even out the bedding.
You are probably thinking ‘is she a bloodsucker, and if so, where does she get her nourishment’. No, she is not a ‘bloodsucker’ nor some inhuman human juice extractor, as far as I know at least, unless she can turn into a bat (which is a definite possibility since both are rodents), and then in a poof of pumice<(used that since it is what she bathes in), flies off into the night.
I think she is more a vegetarian vampster and only sucks the life juices from fruits and veggies.
I have also seen her hang upside down by her feet (another clue to vampsterism?), as well as climb down the habitat ‘walls’ (do not like the word cage, as mentioned before) head first, which vampires are wont to do. That has always creeped me out in films when they (and other 'beings' such as Brundlefly and Xenomorphs) have done that.
Do not know if she grows fangs, but that wouldn’t really be necessary since her teeth are sharp anyways. Very sharp.
I’ve not used a mirror to see if she casts a reflection, nor have I held any garlic near her. She does seem to be OCD, which is a vampiric trait, they being compelled to count things no matter how tiny. Not that I know she can count, but she is obsessed with the wheel.
I've never seen her wear a cape, but that was only a Hollywood prop used mostly for flair and drama, and occasionally held up to shield their eyes from crosses.
It’s no wonder she was alone, buried down in the bedding at the pet store while the others all huddled together in the igloo. Was it from fear? Would they have eventually become an angry mob and stake her?
Even though she is not a friendly sort, I am happy to have brought her home. Guess that makes me Renfi.......yes, Master, you wish me to bring you a juicy fresh portion of peach, I hear and obey....
