K, so that spark could ignite (excuse the pun) further exploration in a curious mind....think of our distant primal ancestors and where fire eventually brought us? Lighting this and that, what is and isn't combustible, how to modify and make use of the heat/energy....internal combustible engines and onward.
Yes, I'm rambling, but I have a point. I think. Maybe not.
I guess it's because of the adage 'curiosity killed the cat' (unless it was Schrödinger's, but then did the cat have any choice.)
When does curiosity become a danger? I guess it's all about trial and error, which is fine, depending on the oopsies 'error' part. And that leads back to responsibility. As in being responsible. As in theorizing the 'what ifs' and knowing how to correct a possible error......
This is somewhat off topic, (and probably stupid, but it's how my stupid mind works, all sorts of things going on at once in there), if we can make synthetic oil ('Synthetic oil is a lubricant consisting of chemical compounds that are artificially made (synthesized). Synthetic lubricants can be manufactured using chemically modified petroleum components rather than whole crude oil, but can also be synthesized from other raw materials') why can we not make synthetic fuel for automobiles? Well, I just looked that up and found this-
Cars That Run on Air and Water? Audi Rolls Out E-Diesel
Audi Says Synthetic 'E-Fuel' From Microorganisms Is Better Than Gas Or Diesel
I mean, unless we find another habitable planet fairly soon that we can either inhabit and/or make use of it's resources, we have to do something to restore what is left of the Earth. Right? Unless we start genetically modifying ourselves to exist without certain things, because at the rate of what we've done, evolution is just too slow.
So maybe there are positives about bio-engineering/technology/etc. as well as negatives.
It is time for the child to grow up to some degree, retain the awe and curiosity while cultivating responsibility.
Or something.
Oh, and this is something else, how does Google get away with all it's earth mapping?
I love Google, though, it's my go to for everything....no, I am not kissing up, I am definitely NOT kissing up!
No, I guess that wouldn't work, something has to eventually be the guinea pig or fruit fly.
Again, I guess it all depends? When should the possibility of positive results/advancements outweigh ethics and morals? Where should that line be drawn?
Anyways....
The secret word for today is-
K, I'm done now *sigh*
