Hey, sometimes it can be a good thing, like if sad is a negative, and happy is a positive, I'm a lot more creative when I am negatively sad.
Positive thinking requires A LOT of perseverance.
It can be a bad thing at times, too, kinda like even if I think positively that I can fly by jumping from a high place flapping my arms, I will come to harm. My cousin tried it when he was little, jumped off the top of the steps while holding out his coat like a cape and landed on his face, breaking his nose. Which positively hurt, and he learned a positive lesson from that. His bones are not hollow and he has no wings, and is unlike super heroes who have some sort of anti-gravity thing going on (and/or hollow bones.)
But then, the Wright brothers didn't give up. Yep, perseverance and thinking outside the box. Finding alternatives. Darn! That was positive thinking, wasn't it! :| Guess it hasn't worn off yet.
ANYWAY, today is National Hoagie Day! Yep, it is, and if you are unfamiliar with the term, it's basically a supersandwich. HERE is Wikipedia's description, as the name of said sandwich is regional.
