...er...happy Eastarrh!
Hey, prates celebrate too, you know!
What? Never heard of the Easter Bonny?
No?
Prepare to be enlightened.
From the log of Calico Jack Rabbit, Captain of the 'Revenge':
'It was just off the coast of Japan, on a small island in the Seto Inland Sea, called Ōkunoshima, we came across the legendary land of the giant Leporidae.
Being desperate for food, my men near starving, Anne volunteered to go ashore in search of supplies.
It was a hare raising experience.
Upon landing, the foraging party held at gunpoint two islanders that had just cast off in a boat containing enormous (by our standards) eggs.
My crew, led by Anne, were informed by the captives they were merely transporting goods to the Moai on Easter Island, with whom they had a trade agreement.
Having never seen humans of our size before, they believed the flaming hared Anne to be their tiny revered deity, 'Ēostre.
A ceremony was held in her honour, in which the traditional offering of miniature eggs were given to the goddess Anne/Eostre, wearing the symbolic coronet of Usagi Mimi.
We were given all the eggs our hold could, well, hold, and we set sail for more pillage and plundering.
So, there you have it, now you know.
