I mean, I do know how to behave in public when I must venture into it, and am generally shod when doing so as well, but I am more comfortable with being a part of the natural world.
The world of humans frightens me.
Back to shoes.
It’s because I don’t like being restricted, in thought, in attire, in anything
unless it is temporary and/or for fun.
Not wearing shoes reminds me of my connection to this world.
And because I just like the feel of things on the soles of them.
Well, most things.
Not like poo, even if stepping in it is purportedly good luck.
Birds pooing on your head I have been told is supposedly lucky as well,
but enough about the luck of poo.
Of course, many times shoes are a requirement.
It says so on signs ‘No Shoes, No Shirt, No Service’.
I always wear a shirt at least (with jeans/slacks/skirt or a dress.)
It’s not that I dislike shoes so much as I just like my feet better bare.
