Ahem, this is serious, though *furrows brow in seriousness*
It does have to do with the future, the past and dilemmas.
I was discussing the possible consequences of time travel with someone I hugely admire, questioning if everything is predestined or if what lies ahead is simply blank. He presented a supposition. If, say, a young child was going to be hit by, let’s say a train, and I could save him but knew that child was Adolph Hitler, would I still save him? (Rather like what was presented to Doctor Who in the child Davros episode.)
I would want to save the child but in the same respect, if I knew what would come of it, then I’d be partially responsible for that future.
Anyway, that brought this to mind (though they concern ethics as well)-

Candidate B: He was kicked out of office twice, sleeps until noon, used opium in college and drinks a quart of whisky every evening.
Candidate C: He is a decorated war hero. He's a vegetarian, doesn't smoke, drinks an occasional beer and hasn't had any extramarital affairs.
