Yeah, they didn't come out looking so great, but they do taste delish, so.
They would've looked good with royal icing, only I can never make it right. It never sets up on the cookies :( stays wet, doesn't harden, so sugared they must be! I do make my own coloured sugars, well, it's my Mom's recipe.
You just mix a teensy bit of food colour with regular granulated sugar and blend well. It must be dry, if too wet add more sugar.
Anyways....
They puffed up a little much. Oh, well.
They're still yummy. I taste tested them :)
