Haven't been dreaming much lately, and when I have, it's been boring and/or ridiculous.
I'd stopped taking a gummy vitamin before bed, I take it in the AM now, so maybe that is why. I've read where vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) can cause vivid dreaming.
Anyway, last night's dream was a weird one. When I awoke, I wrote it down so I would not forget it. Lots of times, that is what happens unless you wake and make it a point to remember it, or write it down.
So, I dreamt I was in this world where all the people were semi-transparent. You could see their insides, but not all the way through them, only partially, but their clothes and the buildings and such were all solid. I approached a lady with her little girl to ask where I was. The little girl smiled and put her hand out to me. I could see the bones, tendons and veins in it. I smiled back and put my hand out to take hers when her mother turned, frowned and grabbed the child and said 'don't touch her, she's a walking solid' and dragged the little girl away. Everyone I approached reacted the same, would not speak to me, just made disgusted, and some, frightened looks, then turn and move away.
I wandered around until I found a park bench and sat down. It was solid, like me. I started to cry and a little mouse, also semi-transparent approached me timidly. I had sunflower seeds in the pocket of my hoodie, took some out and offered it to the mouse.
It in turn, climbed onto my lap and started eating them, unafraid. I petted it's little head. Then a sparrow flew down begging for seeds. I held some out to it, it ate them then perched itself on my shoulder. The mouse had finished eating, squeaked what I knew to be a thank you, crawled into my other pocket and went to sleep. I was happy. I was not alone. I had two little friends. I got up and started to walk towards a gold, ranch-style house. The door wasn't locked, I was tired, so I went inside. No one was there. I went through the rooms until I found a bedroom, laid down on the bed and went to sleep. I awoke hearing a little girl excitedly saying 'Daddy, look, she's just like the girl in the story! She even has the mouse and sparrow! Can we keep her?' I opened my
eyes to see the semi-transparent father (yeah, guess even in dreams my brain makes puns, transPARENT father) and daughter standing over me. I didn't know whether to be afraid or what. The father asked if I was hungry, that they were just sitting down to dinner. I was famished, got up and followed them to a dining room. His wife was already seated, the little girl said 'Daddy said we can keep her', the wife's lips went white and stretched taut in anger but said nothing.
The food, dishes, everything was solid like in real life. I asked and was told only non-living things were solid, then they all got very quiet.
I woke up. Like really. I dunno if I was supposed to be dead in the dream, or just from another world. It was really weird.

I kinda know probably why I dreamt they were all semi-transparent. I had looked at a post in the forum to which belong about radiology earlier in the day.
I like mice, and had recently spoken about sparrows with a friend and found this on ehow-
A small bird that is internationally recognized as a harbinger of good or bad luck, the sparrow is seen throughout literature and folklore as a sign of God's benevolence, an omen of death and a catcher of lost souls. Known for their small, 5- to 6-inch-long size, sparrows were introduced to North America in the 1850s, where they have continued to become a part of both the urban and rural American landscape.
Considered bad luck in many European cultures, a sparrow flying into the home is said to be a sign of impending death. A variation of this superstition claims that the person who catches the sparrow in the home must kill it, or else he will be the one to die. In Kent, England, if a sparrow is caught, it is believed that the catcher must kill it or his parents will soon die. Other variations of the sparrow superstition, according to the website TarotCanada, include predictions of death if the sparrow enters the home and lands on a piano.
In contrast, Indonesian superstitions claim that the sparrow brings good luck. If a sparrow enters a home, Indonesians believe that a wedding will occur, and if a woman spies a sparrow on Valentine's Day, she will find happiness by marrying a poor man. If a sparrow enters a home and builds a nest, it will bring good luck. The call of a sparrow forecasts rain.
According to the website Dream-God-Web, sparrows are a symbol of Christianity that represent God's care for the smallest of creatures. In the Bible, sparrows were often mentioned as an offering made by a person without any means. Birds such as sparrows, eagles and doves were all symbols of the presence of God. Gospel hymns, such as “His Eye Is on the Sparrow,” also use the image of the sparrow to denote the importance of all things in the eyes of God.
Sparrows, according to ancient Egyptians, caught the soul of a person recently deceased. Many sailors would tattoo the image of a sparrow on their bodies with the hope that the sparrow would catch their soul, carrying it to heaven if they died while at sea.
According to the website SurnameDatabase, the surname Sparrow was of Anglo-Saxon origin and derived from the Middle English “sparewe,” or sparrow. A nickname for a person who was homely or chirpy, the surname was first seen in recorded form in London in 1160.
Sparrows in Dreams
When sparrows appear in dreams, they are said to signify the dreamer's benevolent nature toward others, specifically when listening to sad stories. According to the website DreamReveler, a sparrow seen in a dream represents the dreamer's feelings of being loved and comforted, but to dream of a sparrow being hurt is an omen for future sadness. The website TarotCanada claims that sparrows appearing in dreams will mean financially lean times ahead, but if the sparrow can be chased away, there will be good business news for the dreamer.
I'll have to look up and see if any of the other things in the dream had significance, the mouse, the sunflower seeds (could be because I was thinking about Van Gogh recently, his sunflowers?), the colour gold (mustard yellow more or less, again, could be reference to the sunflowers), etc.
I'm always trying to find the meaning in/of things. All things.

Anyway, my brain just weaved it all together while I slept. Honestly, sometimes I really do think it is an independent organism, and my body is just it's host. The question is, is it me?
K, so I looked up the other stuff (from various sites)
Mouse-
To see a mouse in your dream indicates fear, meekness, insignificance and a lack of assertiveness. You are experiencing feelings of inadequacy and fears that you are not measuring up. The dream may be telling you that you are spending too much time hiding in the shadows of someone else. Alternatively, a mouse symbolizes minor irritations and annoyances. Perhaps you are letting petty problems or insignificant issues eat away at you. The dream may also be a pun on a computer mouse and your connection to work or to the virtual world.?
(That actually makes sense and reflects on recent issues I’ve been having.)
The colour was more bright mustard. Dunno if ‘gold’ below refers to the metallic or not, so added the yellow interpretation which is more likely.
Gold
The golden color reflects a spiritual reward, richness, refinement and enhancement of your surroundings. It also signifies your determination and unyielding nature
Yellow
The color yellow has both positive and negative connotations. If the dream is a pleasant one, then the color yellow is symbolic of intellect, energy, agility, happiness, harmony, and wisdom. On the other hand, if the dream is an unpleasant one, then the color represents deceit, disgrace, betrayal, cowardice and sickness. You have a fear or an inability to make a decision or to take action. Your desire to please others is at the risk of sacrificing your own needs and happiness. As a result, you are experiencing many setbacks.
Sunflower seeds in your dream indicates that you will be tired because of disagreements among friends but you will find the middle as soon as possible. (Yeah, that makes sense. Dunno if it is just coincidence, or if I’m comparing it to recent events that have occurred, like if you want to find significance, you will find relationships to fit, or if there is actually something to dream interpretation? I kinda find that difficult to believe because different things have different meanings in different cultures. Still.....)
